One of my all time favorite TV shows is “The Biggest Loser”. This past season ended with quite the controversy with Rachel weighing in at only 105 lbs to win the finale. Many people (including myself) thought she looked wayyyy to skinny. There was many negative comments made regarding the show and the safety of the contestants for how extreme some will go to win. If definitely caused some uproar!

Last week Rachel hit the news again. Us Weekly released an exclusive interview with Rachel how now after the finale she has gained 20 pounds and it at the perfect weight. I think she definitely looks much healthier and I am glad (if its all true) that she is happy and partaking in healthy habits. I think 20 pounds is a lot to add on which does make me question if the show should have stepped in to do more with watching contestants weight lose between the ranch and the finale when they are at home.

For even more BL controversy, it was reported yesterday that Jillian Michaels may be leaving “The Biggest Loser”. Her reasoning is that she is turned off with the show’s direction and says that the contestants are not being cared for and watched as much as they should be. The reason I love the show so much is the motivation that it can provide to those who need to lose weight. I do agree with Jillian that the purpose of just doing it for the money takes away from the motivation and point of getting healthy to just be healthy. I must say though despite agreeing with her, I would be really sad if she leaves the show. I am a huge Jillian fan!! My least favorite season of the show when during the time when she left and did not appear on it. Jillian definitely inspires me and it would be a major bummer if she left again.
