Friday Five!

Today ends my last day of spring break and it has been a nice relaxing week! Despite the up and down weather it has been a pretty good week. Here is my list of my top 5 things I enjoyed this week.

1. Dunkin Hines Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes– OMG can you say amazing!! Made these with a friend and they were probably one of the best cupcakes I have ever had out of a box. I loved that the frosting came with the  mix because the combination was amazing!

2.World Autism Awareness DayThis past Tuesday, April 2nd, was World Autism Awareness Day. It was great to see how many people were showing their support to spread awareness on social media by lighting it up blue. With Autism now affecting 1 in 68 children, it is more now then ever that people start to become educated. Everyone is special!

3. Reunions– This past weekend I had our annual alumni game for the college I played soccer at. While it’s exhausting playing against the current team (Since the alumni are super rusty!), it is the best time being reunited with former teammates/best friends. With everyone now living in different places big get togethers are far and few. However, you know you have the best teammates and friends when you can go many months without seeing each other, but when you see each other it is like nothing has changed! Image

4. Kirkland Animal Crackers- I gave up chocolate for lent, and this week definitely has been the hardest week thus far to resist from having it!! My love for these cookies is what is helping me resist from caving it! They provide the perfect amount of sweetness to curb my chocolate cravings, with feeling toooooo guilty! These are one of my favorite snacks ever!

5. Baseball Opening Day/Week: and baseball is backkkkkkkkk!!! I absolutely love to attend ballgames and baseball=summer! In honor of opening day I posted a picture from a game last year. This weekend I can excitedly say I will be attending my first Cubs game of this season on Saturday for home opening weekend! GO CUBS GO!

April challenge

So far this year I completed a 30 day squat challenge in January and a 30 day push up challenge in February.  This month I am doing a burpee challenge. Yes burpees…..

I did some seaching online and found the burpees suck 30 day challenge. What is great about this challenge is there are 4 levels you can choose from depending your current fitness level. I am starting at the advanced athlete level. I’m a bit nervous looking at how many that requires at the end of the month, but I’m up for the challenge!
